Organically grown Chuchu from the soil of Andalusia. Chuchu, also known as chayote, is an edible fruit that comes from the Sechium edule plant and belongs to the pumpkin family.
Here are some features of Chuchu:
- Appearance: Chuchu has a pear-shaped or oval shape with smooth, green or sometimes yellow skin. The surface may be slightly wrinkled or dimpled. The interior of the fruit consists of a firm, edible flesh and a soft core that is often removed.
- Taste and Texture: Chuchu has a mild, slightly sweet taste and a crisp, juicy texture reminiscent of a mixture of potatoes and pears. The fruit can be eaten raw or cooked and absorbs the flavors of spices and ingredients in dishes well.
